Ozzie Bloom | Austin Photographer

I shot my first wedding on film in 2004, armed with nothing more than my knowledge of my camera and no editing to rely on. I spent the next decade as a full-time photographer, photographing hundreds of weddings, engagements, bridals, families and seniors. Although my career eventually took me in other directions, I never entirely left weddings behind and still accept a very limited number each year.

After a while, I itched for a new challenge, so I created Flamingo Grove in 2014, an uncommon boutique experience that brought a little bit of the flair of Austin to Belton, Texas. Its sister store, Lone Grove Trading Co., followed shortly afterward. I photographed and marketed the businesses myself, and their success eventually led to branding campaigns and creative work for other businesses. Along the way, I founded a media company, 35Live, expanding my work in marketing, live-streaming, social media and content creation.

And somewhere in all that came a chance to shoot a live concert taping and, because of it, my first album cover! I was hooked, to say the least. In 2022, I was invited to join the SXSW Photo Crew, and the 4 years I've spent on that team opened the doors to festivals, conferences, corporate events and red carpets. I've since been lucky enough to have opportunities to photograph some of the biggest names and events in the entertainment industry. My photographs have appeared in People Magazine and numerous publications around the world.

Drawn toward shoots that are fast-moving, story-driven and spontaneous, I’m always on the hunt for the real feelings behind the moment. My style is dynamic, emotive, bold and daring, built around highlighting what makes you unmistakably you.
