Classic meets eclectic, in true Austin style. Idk if it's the view of the city skyline from the upstairs room of this victorian house on Mary Street (that ended up being owned by ELIJAH WOOD!), the pops of colorful whimsey among the timeless neutral palette, or the bride's attention to perfect detail that makes me adore these images so much?
Come to think of it, it might be her attention to the LIGHTING of her wedding that captivates me.
When you're looking at these, look at the subtle lighting choices that were made that have a HUGE impact:
1. The house on Mary Street was the perfect place to get ready, with its huge natural light window and pristine white walls, nothing about it fights the beauty of the bride in the moment, it perfectly enhances it.
2. Ceremony time, late afternoon. Glowy good light, not too harsh, and perfect under the tree canopy of the ceremony location.
3. DJ lights! I LOVE DJ LIGHTS. Their addition allows me to really capture the party atmosphere of a reception, and they help your guests to feel more comfortable to get up and dance. Please ask your venue or musicians what they can provide, these lights are a reception must-have.
4. That chandelier! WOW. Perfect for these mid-reception night shots.
This bride really took the time to consider the lighting, which made my job so easy, and she ended up with photos that absolutely flippin' STUN.
Timeless, perfect & fun. Any guesses as to what year I took these?
